A Phone Call With Dad is chapter 48 of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai light novel series. It is chapter one of volume five.
Summary
Kodaka is taken aback as he hears from his father that he is engaged to the only daughter of the school's chairman and his father's best friend, Sena Kashiwazaki, Kodaka is a little relieved as he hears that Tenma was drunk when he told Hayato the news about it. Hayato then proceeds on asking Kodaka if he is currently dating Sena, causing Kodaka to retort back and as his father calls his son a boring man. Kodaka mumbles to himself that there is no way for him to have a girlfriend since he has no friends yet. Before hanging up the phone to his father, Kodaka makes a jest to his father about Kobato having a boyfriend and is currently sleeping at his place, much to his father's outburst. After Kodaka reveals to his father that it is all a joke, he hangs the phone on him, ending their phone call.
