Yomi Hirasaka (平坂読, Hirasaka Yomi) is the original creator and author of the light novel series, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (shortened as "Haganai").

Boku wa Tomodachi ga SukunaiEdit

In the afterword section of Volume One of the light novel, Yomi Hirasaka stated that the creation of Haganai was inspired by his own life; he who was lacking in skills of gaining friends, thus having few friends as a result. He also stated that volumes for the light novels will only continue to be released depending on how well the series will sell, as he also compared it to his previous work Ranobe bu (lit. Light Novel Club).

  • Yomi Hirasaka was born in Gifu Prefecture. His name is actually a pseudonym taken from Yomotsu Hirasaka (黄泉平坂), the slope which leads to the underworld, Yomi, in Shinto mythology.[1]
